Plunged
into unknown territory by the sudden
death of their parents, three siblings are cast adrift from all that is
familiar. Bound together by tragedy, they choose to live in a junk-filled
basement rather than join their new ‘other’ family in the flat above.
Can
they survive down here without tearing each other apart? Is there enough space
for each of them to come to terms with the situation and to find who they are
now?

Programme 2: Sandholm by Anna Bro (Denmark), translated by Mia Theil Have and Max Webster; directed by Gareth Nicholls.
A young woman calling herself Job arrives at the gates of Sandholm, an asylum centre near Copenhagen. She won’t say where she is from, but claims to beable to speak to God. Soon people start turning to Job for salvation. But then Job’s past catches up with her… Witty, moving and intensely thought-provoking, the play was inspired by the author’s stay at and interviews with residents at Sandholm.
