Following Company of Angels' very successful collaboration with Drama Centre London on the Young Directors Programme, Young Angels - Directors, Designers & Writers extended the scheme, bringing together three groups, made up of a young director, a student designer and a young writer.

Each of these three groups was provided with a company of actors, a rehearsal space, a small production budget, a two-month development period, a mentor, a prominent central London space to showcase their work - and an audience.
The programme was led by John Retallack (Company of Angels), Annie Tyson, (Drama Centre London) and Suzanne Gorman (Soho Theatre).

3 young directors, 3 young designers, 3 Soho young writers and 12 final year Drama Centre acting students worked together to create three 20/30-minute pieces aimed at children and young people. The nature and format of the work was based on the ideas of the individual creative team, developed collaboratively over a two month period. This gave all participants a unique opportunity to be involved at all stages of the creative process from the inception of the idea to its realisation.
The three resulting pieces were shown to an audience of industry professionals and young people at the Soho Theatre Studio on May 18, 2007.
