Current Productions:


Anne and Zef (2010-11)
a new play by Ad de Bont (Holland), translated by Rina Vergano and directed by Ben Kidd. A Company of Angels and Salisbury Playhouse co-production in association with The Junction, Cambridge.

fairymonsterghost (2011-12)
is a trilogy of three self-contained one-man shows with a take on three classic Shakespearen plays, written by Tim Crouch and directed by John Retallack, in co-production with Bristol Old Vic.


Past Productions:

Truant (2011)
Written and directed by John Retallack, Truant is a provocative new piece of theatre set in, and inspired by, the people of Glasgow. Truant is the result of interviews with a diverse range of people from communities across the city exploring responses to questions about family values, the challenges of modern parenting and the place of children in society.


Apples
 (2010)
a new play based on Richard Milward's acclaimed novel and adapted by John Retallack, in co-production with Northern Stage Newcastle national tour - at Latitude and Edinburgh Festivals and at Northern Stage summer / autumn 2010

Theatre Cafe Festival 2010
featuring UK premieres of some of most exciting new plays for young audiences in Europe, at Unicorn Theatre and Southwark Playhouse.

Blowing (2010)
by Jeroen van den Berg, translated by Rina Vergano in a fanSHEN and Company of Angels production, commissioned by The Junction, Cambridge; on national tour and at Southwark Playhouse as part of Theatre Cafe Festival this autumn

Colors / Tattoo (2010)
a double bill of contemporary European plays in association with Drama Centre London, directed by Company of Angels Associates fanSHEN (Rachel Briscoe / Dan Barnard) and Jens Peters.

Iphigenia and This Child (2010)
in association with the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA) featuring Iphigenia by Pauline Mol (Holland) and This Child by Joel Pommerat (France).

Sense (2009)
by Anja Hilling in association with Drama Centre London. Directed by Company of Angels' Associates Laura Baggaley, Oystein Brager, Max Key, Philip Thorne and Max Webster.

Children in Wartime (2009)
in association with the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA), a season of contemporary European plays  directed by three emerging directors at ALRA and on tour.

Invasion! (2009)
by Jonas Hassen Khemiri in co-production with The Junction, Cambridge and Soho Theatre. Directed by Young Angels Award 2008 winner Lucy Kerbel.

Theatre Cafe Festival (2008)
Company of Angels return to Tooley Street, London SE1, with an expanded Theatre Cafe programme presented in two neighbouring venues, Unicorn Theatre and Southwark Playhouse.

Truckstop (2007)
Award-winning UK premiere and Edinburgh Fringe 2007 hit co-produced with Eastern Angles Theatre Company. On national tour until 9th November.

Theatre Cafe Europe (2007)
A new writing platform extending the idea of the Theatre Cafe pilot project in 2004. In association with hetMUZTheater , Zandaam (Holland), VAT Teater, Tallinn (Estonia) and Le Grand Bleu, Lille (France).

Virgins (2006)
A new dance / text piece by John Retallack with choreography by Fleur Darkin. A co-production with The Junction, Cambridge in association with Escalator East to Edinburgh.

Theatre Cafe (2004)
Presenting new plays fom across Europe through staged rehearsed readings in a unique cafe atmosphere. A co-production with Caird Company. 

Young Europe (2003)
A season of new European plays presented in association with Polka Theatre.

Fathers and Eggs & The Wild Girl (2002)
Two class-room plays for primary school children, presented in co-production with Quicksilver Theatre.


Club Asylum
(2002)
A new devised dance / text piece written by John Retallack with choreography by Andy Howitt and informed by interviews with young asylum seekers in Glasgow. A co-prodcution with macroberts arts centre, Stirling.

Crime and Punishment in Dalston (2002)
David Farr's adaptation of the classic novel to modern-day Hackney. In co-production with Arcola Theatre.

Hannah & Hanna (2001 - 2005)
Company of Angel's first production was critically highly acclaimed and a surprise hit at the Edinburgh Festival in 2001. It has since toured the UK and abroad for over four years and been translated into six languages.
